For Hickory Hill Campground: If you like flies, mud, old bathrooms, and lots of permanent old units, this is the place for you. We were directed to a very unlevel site; we had to request to move to another site, which was partially level. The dump has a concrete border which is higher than our sewer outlet. The only two good things about this park are its trees and modest price.

For Hickory Hill Campground: When we arrived, after a 10 hour drive, the first thing we could hear as we approached the office was shooting! No one mentioned that the park is next to a shooting range when we called to make a reservation and this is not mentioned on their website. We checked in anyway since it was way too late to find another option. We became more and more unnerved as we drove to the site and observed the condition of the park which seems to be mostly long term residents in junky set ups. Our site ended up actually backing up right to the gun range and the shooting went on none stop until 10:00 pm. The next day we moved 15 minutes away to Timberline Goodfield Campground. It was very nice and very quiet

For Hickory Hill Campground: Nice quiet park. Mostly permanent residents. A little tight for our 44’ MH but got our site ok. We were in a 70-80’ pull through. Staff is great and guided us to our site. With so few campgrounds in this area, this is the one we will return to if in the area. Water pressure is quite low but voltage was 120/119 on 50 amp service.

For Hickory Hill Campground: Pleasant park with many if not mostly seasonal residents. Nice staff. Restroom and shower I used were fine. Would certainly stay here again! Only real negative is the skeet shooting club next door, however the shooting stopped before dusk. Spot was level.

For Hickory Hill Campground: Rural campground surrounded by corn field. Nice quiet location except for skeet shooting range next door. Mostly seasonal campers. Nice pool, family friendly except for 6 hours of continuous shotguns noise. Good overnight stop if you arrive after sunset. Good Verizon reception. Paid $30 with military discount. Will not stop here again.

For Hickory Hill Campground: We stayed here only overnight during a rainstorm so don't know very much about recreation or other facilities. Believe that most of this park is for permanent residents. The parking sites were OK but the area for hook ups was unlevel and very difficult to use in the rain. Had to stand in water to hock up and unhook. Easy access from the interstate. The park is on a busy local road and was very noisy. Actually there are very few camp grounds in this area so we were happy to fine one that was a convenient. TV reception was very limited. WiFi worked OK though. Did not cut off every 10 minutes like many parks.
