For KOA Journey Batesville: We stayed at this campground for a long weekend. Its actually 2 campgrounds in 1. It has the Koa side and the Thousand trails side. Both sides are pretty nice. They do pack folks in pretty tight, Saturday night, the place was packed! People get to drink beer and ride around on their golf cart and side by side buggys. There are 1200 sites total! Yep, 1200!! 100 on the Koa side. Overall, it was a pretty good time. The lady running the Koa side (Michelle) was super nice! She was AWESOME!!

For KOA Journey Batesville: I feel obliged to write a more positive review here then my predecessors. Camped here with total of three RVs. There are two distinct campgrounds at this location. It seems to me that KOA has come in, selected some of the sites, and renovated them to their standards. They are nice, wide, long sites with lovely gravel, paved patios with nice picnic tables. Surrounding these KOA designated sites is the Thousand Trails preserve. This is also is broken into different sections. There is clearly a large section (Phase 1) for annuals and MOST of those sites can be described as posh. We selected phase 2 which is being worked on as I write this. There is brand new sewer throughout. Some of the sites are moist, some of the water spigots are in very wet areas, some have gravel and some do not. Some are nicely shaded, some are out in the open. We scored three sites under trees, but some might consider them a little too damp for their tastes - there has been a lot of rain recently. We dealt with it. KOA has put in new buildings, new playgrounds, all of these are available to the thousand trails campers as well. I think all should put this site, either thousand trails or KOA, on their radar and check it out for themselves. It deserves a look.
Nice clean restrooms. Nice laundry room, cost $1.50 each to wash and dry. The grass is kept cut all around.
On the other hand, there are some very old RVs that really need to clean up their act and get rid of the large amounts of crap around their rigs.

For KOA Journey Batesville: This place looks nothing like the thousand trails pictures. I could not find where the took the pictures at this preserve. This is another thousand trails disappointment. Sorry we ever joined.

For KOA Journey Batesville: Disgrace of a place. For the price it is a Big rip off.
