For Louisville North Campground: Just stayed for 2 nights and it was perfect! We had looked at the reviews and found no surprises, the staff was great and the campground was clean and just as described. Blacktop road and level gravel sites, not much grass but large grass area across the street for the dogs.this is the perfect place to stay and explore Louisville and southern Indiana. We barely noticed the train, from the reviews we thought it would be a problem but you can hardly notice it. We will definitely be back.

For Louisville North Campground: We stayed one night and liked the closeness to Downtown .
.Hard to find even with GPS.
Loved the train could’ve touched it.

For Louisville North Campground: If you’re looking for a big site, green spaces and lots of family friendly amenities, go someplace else. But if you want a clean, safe place to stay with full hookups and within a cheap Uber ride to downtown, this is the place. The staff is helpful and friendly. Bathrooms are older, but clean. We didn’t use the showers. The sites are small, but level. The WiFi was fantastic. The store was well stocked and clean. There is a park across the street with green space for your canine companion. We were able to bicycle to downtown Louisville via the Big 4 pedestrian bridge. Our Uber rides downtown cost between $8 and $12. We had a fantastic time in Louisville because of the convenience of this location. Oh, there’s a train track nearby but we are accustomed to railroad noise so it didn’t bother us. The trains seemed infrequent and (unlike home) they don’t blow their horns when they pass by.

For Louisville North Campground: I made a reservation in May of 2017 for the end of April 2018 and received a confirmation that the reservation was being processed.
Reached out to the campground in the beginning of February 2018 to confirm the reservation for the end of April and was told that the reservation was cancelled.
Asking why it was cancelled and the answer was a deposit was not received even though the confirmation shows that the full amount will be collected upon arrival.
Their answer was Sorry nothing available for dates I had reserved in May of 2017.
Buyer beware.

For Louisville North Campground: Long night of little sleep. Facilities are well-kept, the staff is excellent, the place is centrally located. But the train ran all night and the planes flew over constantly. The train was literally a stones throw away from our camper.

For Louisville North Campground: Staff was friendly, spaces are tight, no grass, no cable tv.
All asphalt spaces,
Great location to visit Louisville, convenient to down town. Sam's club n Wal-Mart right up he road. decently priced maybe a little high for what you get.
Stayed 2 nights that's about long enough.
Would drop by again for a night if I was in the area.

For Louisville North Campground: Was not as bad as I expected based on earlier views. Yes, you have very small spaces but since we were in a motor home it didn't matter. We loved the park across the street and we were able to let the dog off leash and let her run off so energy. The owners/desk folks were super nice. The location was very convenient to Churchill Downs and not too far from the casino. We stayed three nights. Cable tv was excellent. Yes the neighborhood is a little run down and there are some permanent campers. We didn't use the baths or laundry. The camp store is adequately stocked. I would stay again if in the area.
