For KOA Holiday Indianapolis: The staff was friendly and informative. Both the pool and the playgrounds were places I would like to take my granddaughter to visit. I think this place is geared more for people with small children. They collected our trash at 11 AM. They assigned us a site which would have been great for a tent but not a small camper. It had a “ditch” that we had to drive over. Our camper stabilizers scraped loudly as the gravel met the dip. I am still worried about getting this camper out without doing damage. We are closer together than we’ve ever been. There was a cabin above our site. When the people sat on the porch they could look right into our camper. I went to the car to get something from the trunk. The neighbors were having a little bit of a tiff (over a toy) with one of the kids. I felt like an intruder even though I was there first. We were way too close. The bathroom sinks were not clean. Our Wi-Fi did not work. Our lot was in the corner, site 91. Maybe that’s why we had such a poor signal. We had to book 2 nights and they sold out. Had we not done that we would’ve left after the first day. Do they only have one set of bathrooms for the whole camp? Why, then, are they closed for cleaning from 11-1 every day?

For KOA Holiday Indianapolis: Stayed in D section with a 35' travel trailer. Has to be one of the nicest parks we've stayed in. More than plenty of room between campers. Very unusual for a KOA. Super clean and staff was very nice and helpfull

For KOA Holiday Indianapolis: Same bad experience. I'm a local and used them often. Very unethical response to a financial transaction issue.... staff was rude and unprofessional in the process.
Very disappointed, will no longer get my business

Susan

For KOA Holiday Indianapolis: We spent Labor Day weekend here and really enjoyed it. The place was full but pretty quiet. Lots of trees for a KOA. Modest store. Close to the interstate so we could hear the traffic a little bit, but not much. The sites were well maintained. Nice picnic tables and fire rings. Good wifi. Did not use bath house so I cannot comment on it. But based on the cleanliness of the rest of the campground I would guess it to be nice. The owners are really nice and hard working. They had a lot of folks working this weekend to make sure everything ran smoothly. Hayrides for kids. Root beer float social. It was just a nice getaway close to home and we definitely will come back.

Ed

For KOA Holiday Indianapolis: This KOA has a 48 hour advance cancellation notice requirement. They don't tell you about it, but it is advised in the online reservation and it is printed on the receipt.
I came in off the road and asked for a four day stay. On day two I found out that we have to leave on day three. I asked for a refund of day four and was told "Sorry! We have a 48 hour advance notice requirement and I would have to forfeit the monies for the fourth day." The reasoning, according to the office, is that they couldn't book this site while it was reserved. They wouldn't let me free it up and the ironic thing is that the campground is only about 1/3 full. There are plenty of places to reserve if the need was present.
I've been on the road for 5 years and have stayed at many KOAs, being a 5 year club member. This is a first -- I will be dropping KOA from my future travels -- all because this KOA is sticking to their policy with no regard to fairness to its member(s).
