For Hickory Hills Campground at Bass Lake: First night wasn’t to bad. One person next to us came and went several times late at night with really loud music playing. 11pm second night we had to pack up our stuff and leave after a fight broke out in front of our camp site between the owners and other people at the property. This happened in front of my kids and their cousins playing on the playground. This is advertised as a family campground but definitely not somewhere I would recommend taking kids.

For Hickory Hills Campground at Bass Lake: I have to say after checking all of the campgrounds in the Northwest Indiana area i was more than pleasantly surprised to find this gem.. i gave 4 stars instead of 5 only because they are lacking a pool, and though the shower houses were clean they are in need of a remodel (i can already tell it is soon to come). The owners are great and very accommodating, having just purchased the campground they are doing an absolutely fantastic job. The seasonal campers are as friendly as they come, not like some of the other campgrounds where they acted like i was invading their territory. This is actual camping, IN THE WOODS! Not your usual parking lot of campers with your neighbor right on your doorstep. The sites are a great size, and you are allowed to have fun (as long as you keep it respectable). Lets just say after a year of trying the other campgrounds out, i just decided to leave my camper on their site full time.
