For Scottsburg Raintree Lake KOA : We got there late around 9:30 in the evening. Camp store was closed and our name was not on the door with our campsite like some others were. We finally found the owner and he had just forgotten to print off the sheet for us...understandable, things happen. Our site was a pull thru 50 amp site. Nice location right across from playground and pond. The site on the other hand was extremely unlevel, we had to pull far enough forward for slide outs to miss the electrical panel then we were too far for the 50 ft of sewer hose to reach. The owner was helpful in assisting us once we found him again. He brought us cement blocks to put under our stairs since the site was so unlevel and he had another spare hose for us to connect to ours. The campground itself was overal just ok. The owners seem to try to accommodate their guests the best they can. We had to purchase an internet code to be able to stream but when we called tech support they said internet was down at the campground so that was pretty much a waste of money. But to be fair I didn’t go back to the camp store to as for a refund. The kids had a good time swimming in the pool, fishing ($5 rental per pole per day) and playing at the playground. It could use some updating but overall not too bad. The main reason for the 2 star review was based on our exit from the campground. The posted speed limit sign is 5 1/2 mph. When we passed the camp store the owner aggressively yelled at us to “SLOW DOWN!” When we looked at the speedometer we were going 7. So yes, a little over the losted limit however if they want return guests it would be beneficial to not yell at the campers. It just left us with a bad taste in our mouth to end the trip on. Needless to say we won’t be returning to this jellystone. We have stayed at KOA campgrounds before and have had a nicer, cleaner, and overall better experience.
