For Shipshewana Campground-South: This is a great campground, the only reason I’m giving it four stars is they moved me from a spot, that I prepaid in full for. They informed me the deposit only reserves me a spot however paying in full would lock me into the site I specifically asked for. I paid in full and walked into the office and said i noticed someone in site 1- they said ya we had to move you to 53- I went and looked and 53 was not suitable for what I wanted. They informed me the people in spot 1 did not know how to back a camper up and took that site. I asked to be moved to another site and the woman said she “could but they’re completely sold out for the weekend, and it would be a back in not pull through and no refund.” Every day for the next four days there were atleast 15 empty sites at the campground. The grounds are great, utilities are great, quiet and lovely views- but I can’t wrap my head around taking full payment to lock in a site, and then expecting the customer to move sites with no notice? Another campers inability to manage their rig is not my problem.

For Shipshewana Campground-South: Beautiful campground especially in the treed area in the back where it is surrounded by farm fields of enormous draft horses and cows. Good wifi! Quiet! Nice dog walking area with spots for doggie waste. Friendly staff. A great place to stay when visiting Amish country!

For Shipshewana Campground-South: Easy check in nice length in the pull through. Some site very uneven
