For Hawthorn Park: This was an excellent one night stay. Just on the outskirts of Terre Haut. Staff were friendly and helpful. Site was level gravel. We got a pull through with water and electric. Only some sites have both but all seem to have electric 30amp. We arrived from the North coming down Route 41 and our GPS brought us here the most direct route under a 14 ft railroad trestle that was very narrow just enough room for our 31 ft class C with the mirrors pulled in. We will leave another way through town. We did not use the washrooms so cannot comment. We had several bars of LTE on Verizon. Best part was $20 for the night; however only cash or Indiana bank checks.

For Hawthorn Park: Their map shows 53 sites in total, 7 of which are called RV sites. We had site E10 with water and 30 amps. You cannot enter or leave The campground after 10pm. The showers and toilets were clean but the floor wet. The county alarm for severe weather blared out to warn us of a severe thunderstorm coming our way. It passed and We had a peaceful night. The roads are paved but narrow with some branches to watch.

For Hawthorn Park: What a nice park! Like most city/state parks, sites are electric-only and there's a central dump station. Sites are nicely wooded, well-graded, but pedestals are pretty far from the pads (ours took our 30-ft cable all the way out). They guided us to the site. We had to dump first (desperately full), and while we did that, they blew leaves off the pad for us (they were dropping like crazy when we were there). A bit off the beaten path, but worth it, IMO. (They don't take credit cards; didn't ask about checks.)
