For KOA Journey Topeka: We were on the interstate got out and followed their signs into a 1/2 mile gravel road to get to the office. I did not expect this type of bumpy gravel road in the middle of a city and do not appreciate driving my fifth wheel through that. I later learned there is a paved route option. But why not remove the signs leading people through that road? The entire campground is also gravel and may or may not be level. Luckily I like my neighbors because my patio faces their patio we don’t even know which fire pit belongs to who. Checked out laundry and one of the machines was full of dry mud or something, guess no one cleans them.

For KOA Journey Topeka: We stopped for the night and stayed “up on the hill” near the highway. The office was closed when we arrived at 2, so this was the only KOA on our trip that didn’t escort us to our site, which we usually don’t feel is necessary, but our parking spot was a tad confusing. They alternate the direction RV’s face up there, so you “share” hook-ups—either clever or annoying, depending on how confused you are at the time (requires some thought for the bigger RV’s with slides). Also, we travel full-time and are retired pilots, so we usually laugh at reviews that complain about noise—“Convenient to the highway but noisy”, but this is the noisiest campground we have ever stayed at in 4 years. We had the windows closed and the wind should have been blowing the noise away from our RV, but it was still quite loud. I can’t imagine what it would be like on a calm day with the windows open. We frequent two other campgrounds in the area and tried this one for a change, but I don’t think we’ll be back.

For KOA Journey Topeka: Just passing through and needed a place to rest. Conveniently located. Next to a highway! Perfect! Facilities were very clean. What more can you ask!

For KOA Journey Topeka: Bathroom are well kept and are very clean. The camp ground is nice however it is located next to a main highway. The staff are very friendly and attentive. We stayed in the middle of December and noticed that there is only one garbage can for the camp ground but this may be due to the season.

For KOA Journey Topeka: Great overnight stop. It is close enough to everything in Topeka, but is a rural site. The area is pretty, but be warned of the duck poop all over the grass if you are tent camping. The staff was amazing though and incredibly helpful.
