Wolgamott

For My Old Kentucky Home State Park: Wasn’t that hard to find. Was off main road thru town so was quiet and very pleasant. People were very helpful and friendly.

For My Old Kentucky Home State Park: We've staid in many hundreds of camp grounds, both public and private, all over the US. We have never seen such a confusing and inconvenient site layout anywhere! The government officials seem to have spent most of the budget on the posh golf course adjacent to the campgrounds, neglecting to provide adequate water and electricity for each site. You will need hoses like only firefighters have to connect to the utilities here! Very frustrating. We just left!

For My Old Kentucky Home State Park: The other reviews were kind. Pitiful. The sites were torn up, bad utility placements, small campground with no privacy. Most sites would require extension cords and long, long water hoses. We didn't stay. We went to the local campground on Hwy 62. Much nicer.

For My Old Kentucky Home State Park: cons: Sites are small -- few have room for a tow vehicle. Blacktop pads, some with gravel extensions. Trees can interfere with trying to back a unit into some sites. Wi-Fi generally unreliable and weak. Bathrooms dated ('60s?) and shower was not cleaned during our 4 days there. Power and water located at odd places with shared posts between sites. They have 30A extention[sic] cords for sale, so they know this is a problem. Take extension cords and extra hoses. Though it's a state park, because it's surrounded by golf course, there's not much place to hike. Reception hut seemed to only be staffed 9-5, so if you arrive late, "pick a spot and pay in the morning." They do post sites that have been reserved, but if you plan to stay for more than a few days, I don't know what you do if the site is reserved toward the end of your stay. Dark -- only one street light next to the bath house for the whole park
Pros: Quiet sites. Next to golf course (if that's important). Near to town with shopping and eating nearby. Easy to get to. Convenient dump station (unless you have the site downwind from it.)

Carlos

For My Old Kentucky Home State Park: Very small sites. Nothing level. Trees in all the wrong places. Crowded. Staff helpful. Bathrooms clean. Wifi works. Not expensive. In town. Easy ride to everything. I probably won't stay again.

FBAKDON

For My Old Kentucky Home State Park: RV sites are very small. Not all sites have hookups and those that do you will need long hoses and extension cords. Really clean bathrooms and the people all seemed nice. I won't go out of my way to return but if needed it will work.
