For KOA Holiday Mount Vernon: I have stayed here many times in the past two years and sadly it has changed ownership. There aren’t any fun activities for the kids on the weekends. Overcrowding and a temperamental power grid will consistently kick your surge protector. They moved me to another site and didn’t tell me it was a buddy site, which put another camper 10 foot from my door. Very sad. I won’t be back.

For KOA Holiday Mount Vernon: Stopped here overnight in our 44’ Class A towing a car trailer. (About 70’ total). Despite warnings from other reviewers about difficulties with big rigs going up the incline, we still booked a night. Surprisingly the incline didn’t seem bad to us. The engine temp didn’t increase, as it sometimes does on highway inclines. That part was fine. The problem was finding a site that would fit us. When I made the reservation I told them our rig length and setup, so they booked us on site #3. I’m very specific when I make reservations because we don’t want to get into tough situations. When we got there they didn’t think we would be able to make it into that site, so they changed us last minute to #9. This site was longer but is impossible to pull-thru to leave if you have a large rig, so on the way out we had to back out of our site to leave. Had I known this would be an issue, I would have booked somewhere else that would have given us an actual pull-thru site. Especially because we paid more for a pull-thru. The guy who booked our reservation said that “we won’t have a problem, as long as we know what we’re doing.†Haha, well we didn’t have a problem because we know what we’re doing. But we just don’t want to have to deal with difficult maneuvers when we’re on the road. The staff was extremely accommodating and helpful, and the park was well maintained and had a good vibe. The exit lane was tight and curvy, but we did OK because we know what we’re doing ;) There were multiple big rig MHs there but they all had flat towed cars, not trailers. So yes, big rigs are fine here. You just have to decide how much maneuvering you want to deal with if you have a long set up.

For KOA Holiday Mount Vernon: Pretty good KOA, not great. Pros -very clean bathrooms, location off highway in quiet hillside, nice playground, nice staff. Cons- steep roads coming in and out of campground, sites too close together, sites not level and were mix of old gravel and asphalt.

For KOA Holiday Mount Vernon: Sites very close together. Our site faced our neighbor’s door so they were sitting right outside our RV! They had 2 dogs who barked at everything! Fire ring way too close to our RV. Mostly gravel site. Some falling apart asphalt. Very little grass. With the rain we had mud in front of our door. Very unlevel sites! Steep road coming in and out of the park. Good wifi and very clean bathrooms. Would probably not stay here again.

For KOA Holiday Mount Vernon: We stayed here for 1 night in a 35 foot rv towing. It was a nice flat pull through. The staff was very nice and helpful. Place very clean. The restrooms were very very clean and updated. My only wish...we could have used a list of cable channels. Definitely a great place to stop.

For KOA Holiday Mount Vernon: Stopped in June 2019 for an overnight stay heading back to Georgia. Was greeted with very friendly staff which accommodated my request for a site which I did not need to unhook my trailer. Smaller campground but very well maintained. Some sites are uneven and on slight slopes. A lot of trees but I saw big Class A bus type rigs navigating okay. A good stop right off I-75. Would definitely go again.
