For Fullerton Lake Campground: June 8, 2016.
$2.50/nite with our senior pass. Stayed campsite #3 for 2 nites. Supposed to be aggressive alligator in lake but didn't see it. Lake stocked with 800 lbs of catfish for the fishing tournament but not many caught. No swimming but plenty of fishing available. 9 campsites with only 2 water faucet sources. New 2-unit bathroom/shower building. No electric except in new shower bathrooms. Very clean park and roomy campsites. One 2-room outhouse style crapper located between line of campsites. Water good to drink out of faucet and tested daily.
Lake was log pond back in the late 1800's when Fullerton ran a logging operation for 20 years until the trees gave out. Trail around lake is 1.5 miles long with foundation ruins of the mill site on the east side of the lake. Other trails to site ruins available for exploration.
