For Gum Springs NF Campground: What a nice spot, totally unexpected. Large distance between sites. No power or water at site but great for a night or two.

For Gum Springs NF Campground: This might be the most perfect forest service campground I've ever seen. The sites are huge and level and in a beautiful setting. No hookups, of course and no reservations, which I like. We're not good at planning in advance. Watch out for the potholes at the entrance. ðŸ˜

NC Travelers.
For Gum Springs NF Campground: We were here in February for one night and were very impressed. There was only 1 toilet building at far end of park, and this was a pit toilet. There was no electricity or water on sites, not even lights in the toilets. We were only ones there that night. Was either a new park or newly redone. most sites were very level. Just down the hill from the sites was a splll way, great views and there were picnic tables in several spots. Am giving 5 stars based on the condition of the park and views. Can't beat the cost-$3.00 per night, and since we had Nat parks pass was only 1.50. There was a note saying costs were going up to $10 soon, but still a bargain. Great stop over point.

For Gum Springs NF Campground: Simple little camp. Quiet for where it is near road.
