Mike

For Lake Bruin State Park: (25' RV) The park is small and very congested near the water front pads. The outer loop is quite nice, the pads are mostly level and quiet. The bath houses and grounds are very clean and functional. Bike riding is ok, after ten minutes your peddling on the same path. The docks are nice for sunsets, the boat launch is nice as well. Our overal experience was above average. We enjoy quiet peqaceful camping so I wasn't thrilled about the "tailgating" atmosphere near the water pads. However, those folks were respectful of the quiet hours. We will be back.

For Lake Bruin State Park: We visit this park often on weekends. The lower number sites are waterfront and higher numbers are on top of the hill. Most of the waterfront sites are only a few feet from the waters edge. The showers are newer and very clean. Park is great for bike riding or walking. There is a fishing pier, an observation pier and boat slips in the park. The park has a two lane boat ramp that is sometimes full on weekends due to bass tournaments on the lake. Lake Bruin is great for fishing or water sports. This is our go to park for a weekend getaway. The is not much in the way of places to eat out.

For Lake Bruin State Park: We stayed here over Easter weekend in a 34' motor home.

Easter Sunday morning the campground cleared out.

The roomiest sites are along the southern perimeter #26 to #42. The lower number sites are mostly child/family friendly and close together.

Newer showers and bath house w/laundry.

Camp Wi-Fi, no G Verizon signal

A well stocked grocery store in town.

30 miles to Natchez

If you fish you'll love this location.

Access to the Mississippi River is about 1/2-mile away. If you like watching barge/river traffic you'll enjoy this location.
