For Sandy Pond Campground: We have a 43 ft Fifth wheel toy hauler and yes two lane winding road but no low branches leading to Sandy Pond. The last review by Potter was unfair because he based everything on his dog breed. Sites have some space, nice store that has a deli and grill. Nice laundry room with four washers and four dryers that you don’t need to put extra quarters in as they dry well. There are some small mountain bike trails, a playground with a huge jumping pad. They have a really nice beach on the pond with roped off swimming plus you can rent a golf cart too! They sell propane too! We had to stay two weeks as a slide motor broke and needed repairs. They shuffled things around so we could stay the extra week! Would stay here again!

For Sandy Pond Campground: If your in a big rig (aka over 13’ tall) the roads leading to campground have a lot of low hanging tree hazards. The campground is primarily sand and patchy grass, both roads and sites. The sites are decent size but not level and a mix of sand/dirt so bring a large mat. The campground was more of a seasonal trailer park than a vacationers campground. Our biggest issue with this campground is the extremely restrictive breed policy which they don’t advertise until it’s time to check in and it’s too late to get a refund. RESTRICTED DOG BREEDS include: Doberman, Rottweiler, Pit Bull (Staffordshire Terrier), German Shepherd, Akita, American Eskimo, Dalmatian, Bull Mastiff. We have traveled for 7 years with our German Shepard and have never seen a park restricting them. In fact we have seen labs, doodles, retrievers,… at parks in our travels that have been aggressive. Dog aggression is NOT breed dependent, it is training dependent. If your campground has broad breed restrictions, you should make it clear ON YOUR HOME PAGE, that you are NOT pet friendly for all pets.

For Sandy Pond Campground: We stayed here for two weeks leading up to Memorial Weekend, so we had it nice and quiet. VERY quiet at night until about 5:30a when tons of birds started their dawn chorus, which we liked. Wild turkeys, frogs, dense woods all around the area, plenty of nature. Great location for exploring surrounding area - Plymouth, The Vineyard, Hyannis, the canal. Our site wasn't very level, but that might not be the case for all of them. Sandy site and sand gets everywhere! It seems there are more seasonal and repeat campers than transients, they even had a "Seasonals Pot Luck". Approach roads are winding and rolling with not much shoulder, but doable. Interior roads had a lot of pot holes, but wide and no trees overhanging and scraping. Some sections have large shade trees, we were in a more open area with some evergreens between campsites. We had a back in site with lots of space between our side neighbors, but if we walked around the back of our RV we were at our (seasonal) neighbors grill. Our Verizon mifi and T-Mobile were weak, Verizon cell worked fine. Level of friendliness in the front office depends on who's working that day. Based on the location we would stay here again.
