For Fishermans Island State Park: Nice rustic campground. There are a variety of sites, some with lake views (back in and pull through) but most without. The sites in the South loop were fit for small campers (I'd guess 21' and under, truck campers, and tents. We're here on a Thursdsy night and it's probably 90% available. If you want electric, running water, flushing toilets this isn't the place. If you're looking for lake views, a beach, and to be a bit away from roads, give it a try. Quick update from my last review. We stayed in site 31which has nice shade and some foliage to tame (but not negate) the breeze off of the lake. We had storms last night and the healthy tree cover was great to have. It was a great night of sleep. Phone coverage with AT&T was good - 2 bars LTE. Verizon coverage was nil. I hope that helps other travelers.

For Fishermans Island State Park: Rustic. No hookups. Very nice. Clean. Hand water pump and pit toilet at each loop. Priced very reasonable, $17/night for us with a 26’ motorhome and towed car. Large sites. First 2 loops are on paved road, 3rd loop is 1.5 miles from office on a gravel road. Very dusty. Or rig got covered in dirt traveling there so will pick a site in loop 1 or 2 next time. 5 minutes to downtown Charlevoix. Nice beach to rock hunt on and great spot to watch the sun set.

For Fishermans Island State Park: Nice older place. No fancy frills. There is water and beach but it is not real soft...rocks and stuff make water shoes a good idea. toilets were clean. Watching the freighters was interesting. there is some noise with some kind of plant there that you can see.
