For Duck Lake Modern - Interlochen State Park: North campground. Close but large sites. Some drive-thru cement or gravel. Front row on a bluff over the water, maybe half of water views obscured by bushes. Walkway down to water for kayaking, etc. Electric sites.

For Duck Lake Modern - Interlochen State Park: Nice park. Electric sites only. No water or sewer on each site. Lots of shade. Review the map closely because there are a lot of different sites based on size, but a few a paved which is nice, also some sites are along the water if that’s what you want. We got an unpaved pull thru and it was a huge site. There are fire pits and picnic tables on each site. Sites were very flat. Bath house was fine, water could have been hotter, but they were clean. It was early in the season so it wasn’t busy and very quiet. A short walk to the Interlochen school of the arts if you are headed to concerts or are visiting the campus. Nice beach but we didn’t use it when we were there. Lots of signs about swimmers itch so might be an issue in the summer. Beautiful lakes. Also close to the Traverse City area so would be a great home base if visiting the area. Nice grocery store and decent restaurants within a couple of miles also. There are a couple of boat ramps in the park but I could see how they could be very busy in the summer. We paid $29 for an electric site (each post had 20/30/50 amp outlet). Would stay again.

For Duck Lake Modern - Interlochen State Park: We were looking for a campground close to Interlochen Center for the Arts so we could attend a concert and not have far to drive afterwards. We're self contained and don't use the facilities except for an occasional shower. We stayed on week nights in July.

This is a very nice campground and the perfect location for attending an event at the ICA -1/4 mile walk on a pedestrian path. The staff were friendly and helpful. The campground was clean and well maintained. There was no wifi. Verizon and ATT cell coverage were ok. Sites are electric only. There's a water and dump station at a convenient location. In general, the sites closest to the water were smaller and less level. Those in the back row were a bit larger and more level. Most sites had good shade. There are 2 groceries stores within 2 miles.
