For Indian Valley Campground Canoe Livery: Indian Valley campground has so much potential. We have been camping here for 10 years and have seen the campground and facilities decline steadily. The location, on the Thornapple River, is beautiful, however the campground is looking very run down. Many travel trailers have not been moved in years and look pretty bad; lending a very rundown look to the place. 1 set of bathrooms is in poor shape, the other very small. Staff, overall, is pleasant, although the owner is rather gruff. This could be a fantastic campground, but right now it’s not.

For Indian Valley Campground Canoe Livery: We have a 45 ft motorhome with a 23 foot trailer pulling our vehicle. Accessibility is always a top priority for us. This is followed in order by the beauty of the surroundings and overall cleanliness of grounds and buildings, helpfulness of staff, full hook up with 50 amp service, spaciousness of the lot, and lastly the governance of the campground itself. Based on this criteria this campground met all of our expectations other than helpfulness of the staff which exceeded our expectations. Some comments for consideration this is a large campground with over 150 sites. It appears that there are a number of full timers here. It is located on a river and offers some water activities. They rent canoes and kayaks. There are many nice bike trails (converted railway) in the area. They also rent bikes. It is very close to Grand Rapids with easy access to all the city has to offer. Also if you have children there is an indoor pool and a great playground, and a small putt putt course.
