For Timber Ridge RV-Rec Resort: Our site was at the end of a row, so fairly spacious, but most sites are very tight. Saw one trailer wound a car and another near-miss. Location can’t be beat (unless you camp at state park which is usually hard to get into). Technically, you can walk to Lake Michigan beach, though the 2 miles would be a strain carrying chairs, umbrella, etc. Lot of permanent park RVs, but the place is quite well maintained. And there are bike trails to the beach and toward downtown.

Solitudecouple

For Timber Ridge RV-Rec Resort: If you like being surrounded by children unattended, day and night, this is the place for you. Young Children riding on golf carts, riding bikes in the dark, dogs everywhere with little to no grassy areas. Sites are a tight turn in and out. Plenty of trees and shade. My dog has been hiding in the camper ever since we left this park several days ago because of these “adult big wheels”, these kids are riding and doing burn outs in front of our site. Every day all day! Don’t get me wrong, we enjoy children, we have 7, but these were unsupervised with little or no staff ever seen. I think we saw 2 staff in three days driving through the campground. No one drives the right way on one way streets, I was waiting to see two campers going in or out at the same time . Directions are clear, just not used by most.we will not be back,

For Timber Ridge RV-Rec Resort: Great park and sites seem to be mostly level - laundry was locked due to virus - att didn’t get the best signal from where we were parked - lots to do in the area and they have a beach and lots of stuff for kids

For Timber Ridge RV-Rec Resort: Great family camp ground. Pull thru sites & Yurts. Open year round. Next to VASA trail with access ( bike and cross country ski trail). New man made lake. Also ATV trail access from camp sites. Dodge ball pit for busy weekends when kids are active

Disappointed

For Timber Ridge RV-Rec Resort: Ok, the site is very shaded which is nice. And it would be a good place for kids. Beyond that, Timber Ridge is very sub-par! We were there after Labor Day so our shower house (and rest rooms!) were closed with no prior notice. Yet the laundry which was dirty was open and it was in the same building as the showers. WiFi? Not there, anywhere. I tried in the store, but no network. Now get this, after calling 3x we were told they did not have sufficient IP addresses because they were full of campers. The place was only one third full! The only dumpster is by the office. They try to hit you up for $10 for visitors to get access thru the gate. All the sites were gravel and dirt with enough grass thrown in to feed a few grasshoppers. I picked up a half bag of trash from our site upon arrival. Do not go if rain is forecast. Traverse City is beautiful, Timber Ridge will never be used on return trips.

Larry nance

For Timber Ridge RV-Rec Resort: Nice campground , no sattellite, lots of kids that walk through your campsite, they dont enforce any of the rules, loud music till after midnight, some sites had three up to five vehicles, clotheslines everywhere, unattended big fires, will not camp here again,

Troy

For Timber Ridge RV-Rec Resort: Best place for kids we have stayed at yet. Nightly dodgeball games, managed by the park, were a big hit. Large playground. Sites are in the woods. Secure access.
