For Flour Lake Campground: Nice government campground on Flour Lake in upper Minnesota. Most sites are shaded/partial shade and are gravel. We stayed at this one since fire fighters took over the end of the trail campgrounds (end of Gun Flint Trail). Several sites are big rig accessible. The biggest attraction is fishing on Flour Lake and surrounding lakes near the Boundary Waters. In my opinion, Flour Lake is overfished but has some large Smallmouth Bass. Canoes can be rented at Golden Eagle Resort 2 miles down the road. It is 30 miles from Grand Marais so dont forget supplies. Dry camping - no water, no dump, no electricity. There are generator hours posted. Water and dump is available for a fee 2 miles down the road at Golden Eagle Resort which is the camp host for this campground. We reserved on line but half the sites cannot be reserved (first come first serve). We chose to switch sites and did this at Golden Eagle Resort (there is no phone or internet at the campground but can use Wifi at Golden Eagle in an emergency). We stayed 4 nights in September 2021 in a 39' fifth wheel. Would camp here again. Reason for 3 stars is dry camping, no water, no dump. Saw Beavers, Loons, Eagles, and Deer while there.
