For Hanson Hills Campground: Staff was friendly. We didn’t stay here but for $10 we were allowed to dump. Road is gravel and a lot of potholes out to it but go slow and it’s not a problem.

For Hanson Hills Campground: If you value your rig, do not come here! We have a 34 foot class a towing a car. Unfortunately both were washed the day before coming in. Now they look like trash! Sites are nowhere near level and we had to move from one site to the next trying to get level. We finally settled on having the front axle about an inch off the ground. Not a happy situation! If you use a restrictor for your water hook up, there is not enough space for the restrictor up against the on/off valve. We had originally thought about staying two nights and maybe doing some winetasting in the area. In the long run, with no water hook up and only 30 amp, we will stay one night and leave ASAP.

For Hanson Hills Campground: 97% seasonal campers. Full hulk up worked fine. Owners seemed nice but not very informative. Did not feel welcome at this campground the seasonals have it locked up. The dirt road to get to the campground means you’ll be washing your rig after your visit. So even for a one night stay it really isn’t worth it. Would not stay again. Class A towing.

5th wheelin it

For Hanson Hills Campground: Try not to judge a book by the cover! The drive from the interstate was ridiculous! 1.5 mile on a bumpy dirt road - drove our 40' 5th wheel 10-15 mph. Campground itself looks ok. It is located in a wooded area (nice shade). The tiny pool is less to be desired but enough to get wet in and cool off! Pull through sites are full h/u with both 30 & 50 amp service. They are pretty small and close together. The playground was a hit with our kids! All of the staff are very friendly and helpful! We stayed here one night.

Big Rig Master

For Hanson Hills Campground: Stayed for one night as a last minute stop. We arrived late due to unforeseen issues. The owner waited up for us, which we appreciated.
Right off of I-70.
GOOD:The gravel road that leads to it is not bad at all. It is in a wooded area, very quiet. There are some pretty views around the pound, and trails in the woods. The little store is very rustic on the outside, very quaint. It offers the bare necessities. There are some very nice level RV sites with full hook-up.
BAD: Bath/pool house is not something I would use. Kind of run down and not very clean. It is basically a bathroom with a shower head sticking out of the wall. You can basically bathe and use the bathroom at the same time. Good stuff.

Nancyneal

For Hanson Hills Campground: Although it is 1.5 miles off the interstate on a gravel road, this place is a real sleeper for those wishing to be in a beautiful spot. THe spaces are gravel, and pretty level with some pull through a. It is rustic, but it is a gorgeous location, and clean. Friendly people. Lots of walking trails, two ponds, a small store and propane available. I recommend this highly. We were only there for a night, but wished we could stay longer. They do have wifi, but location did not allow us to use it.

For Hanson Hills Campground: We were very happy with the camp. Yes, it is 1 and a half mile from the interstate, and on a gravel road. It is very rustic and you can hear the birds and the crickets singing. The owners have had the park for 2 years and have done a lot to improve the sites. There are new electrical boxes at lot of the sites. The sites are fairly level and will take some of the bigger rigs. We drive a 40' motorhome with a 24' trailer in tow. We did not have to unhook to get around or to park on the site.
This is a family park and everything that we saw was in great shape and clean. We highly recommend this park for familys and overnighters.
