For KOA Holiday Oak Grove: This used to be a nice campground. This will be the last time we stay at this one. Everything listed, that makes it sound attractive to families, is in utter disrepair. Let’s start with the pool. The astroturf around the pool hasn’t been cared for. It still has leaves all over the perimeter from last fall… and it’s July. On top of that, ants crawled all over my legs when I sat on one of the lounge chairs for no more than 5 minutes. The pool liner is coming out of the coping, and the water is *way* off balance. You can’t even see the bottom, and it’s only 5 feet deep. Gross! The ladder going into the pool isn’t very stable at all as it’s just haphazardly bolted to the deck. Now let’s talk about the sites. Some are great. If you *have to* stay here, upgrade! Ours was as pretty unlevel and short, even given that it was rated for our size. The picnic table needed to be thrown in the fire pit; it was that bad. We backed up to the interstate, but that’s a given due to location, fine, but they could at least try to make up for that with giving you a level site that doesn’t make you feel like you’re going to roll into the ravine behind the site. Now let’s talk about mini golf. Many broken “decorations”. The turf is obviously an old recycled football field, fine. The holes aren’t numbered, and the bordering “stones” all fall away from the turf when a child stands on them—dangerous! Now, the jump pad. Our kids jumped and said it was pretty bad. To quote them, it was “worse than a deflated bouncy house.” Now, the positives. Staff was super nice, the store was nice, and our trash was picked up from our site everyday. Overall though? Very disappointing considering the price, especially when you expect better from a campground flying the KOA flag.

Big Family Fun

For KOA Holiday Oak Grove: First night we stayed in spot 38, it was a nice pull through, wooded area. We liked it! We are in a 40ft class A. The next day we were scheduled to leave but had some battery issues and couldn’t get out on time. They accommodated us until we could leave no charge. We ran into town to get some servicing done and told them we may be back. They said they would hold a spot for us. We ended up not getting back until 7pm on a Friday and camp was filling up. They found us a spot (#93, new gravel area by bouncy house)and even gave us a discount. Super Friendly and bonus on Saturday morning, free pancakes for breakfast! Kids loved the bouncy house/ bouncy jumper and the rock mining($). It is right off the interstate and some noise, but we didn’t think it was too bad.

Gee

For KOA Holiday Oak Grove: Site was nowhere close to level. We have a class B even with leveling blocks we were not able to get level enough to shower. We paid for full hookups. We didn’t even dump at our site because the sewer ran so uphill.

Steve

For KOA Holiday Oak Grove: Stayed for three days the end of April. I have stayed here a couple of times before because my son full times and frequently stays here. This KOA is average. The spaces are easy to get in and out of. The site is maintained and kept clean. The sites are covered with gravel and are pretty level however the gravel is wearing thin and after a rain there are a lot of muddy spots. The pool is being updated and a lot of the grassy are is being converted to additional RV spots. The mini golf is not maintained and unusable. We don’t mind staying here but would look for another location if it weren’t for our son staying here.

Mel

For KOA Holiday Oak Grove: Too Pricey! Campground is run down and permanent residents need to clean up their sites, it looks like the campers exploded with all the strollers, toys, bikes without tires. We paid almost $90 for a patio site that is on top of your neighbors. Would not recommend and would not stay again!

JD

For KOA Holiday Oak Grove: The park is ok but two big negatives for me is the sites were 3-4 inches off level. It took we quite a while to level the trailer in 95 degrees. The other complaint was the noise of the nearby expressway was pretty loud. I would stay here again in a pinch but I would look for other alternatives.
