BornTo Travel
For Timberlake Campground: Managed by State of Mississippi. Sites first come first served for sites N9-N66. Nice shady spots. The bathrooms were disgusting. Broken toilets and showers. Sad that facilities are not better managed. Close to Natchez-Trace Parkway and within walking distance to food store

For Timberlake Campground: Stayed in July 2021. Had a nice back-in site right on the lake with a large side yard. Prices were very reasonable. Grocery store within walking distance, as well as a nice park with a beach. Pool and facilities were clean. Great jumping off point for water sports on the Ross-Barnett Reservoir. Would stay again. For Timberlake Campground: We live a couple of hours from here and recently spent two nights at Timberlake while spending a weekend in the “big cityâ€.
I’d never been there before. It’s almost entirely first come-first serve but a phone call assured me there’d be no problem finding a site. Many of the sites are rented monthly and I had some concern about that but you’d have never known except many of the longtimers had landscaping, etc.
There are still a lot of nightly rental sights. Two of the bathhouses were nice (and air conditioned), a third is a good candidate for a refurbish.
The grounds are well kept. Looked like a nice swimming pool, tennis court, etc. There’s a Kroger grocery store within an easy walk and it’s a short drive to other shopping areas yet still has a secluded feel other than your 250 neighbors.
I’ll likely stay here again. It was normally $30 nightly but was $28 for being old.

Colofornia Refugees
For Timberlake Campground: Almost something for everyone. You will find rv’s who spend one night up to others who have retired and this is their home. Many concrete pads have heaved due to roots from growing trees. Across the street from gas stations, restaurants and a Kroger. Short drive to Natchez Trace.

For Timberlake Campground: We spent March 25 – April 7, 2019 (14 nights) in a motorhome and had a back-in concrete pad with W/S/E-50 Amp. We noticed several transient sites were not level and ours was no exception requiring us to use numerous blocks to support both the jacks and front tires. The utility connections were elevated above the pad requiring additional support under the sewer hose for easier flow. We were able to use our DISH Tailgater and received quite a few TV channels via antenna. The Wi-Fi was non-existent although advertised and when asked, they said they were in the process of upgrading the system. The laundry room was clean with 4 washers and 6 dryers. Many businesses are near the campground and downtown Jackson is about 15 miles away. We give this campground a “Fair†rating but would stay here again.

For Timberlake Campground: The website advertises wifi, however upon arrival they informed me "the wifi is down, and we dont know how long it will be down. They have to install a new system"
I am staying here for a month long medical school rotation, and wifi was one of the reasons I chose this location. Very very disappointed. Also they pulled a fast one to prevent me from getting the discounted monthly rate.. So I am paying the daily rate, for 30 days. That amounts to over $800. Not very Christian-like.
