For Shields RV Park: The new campground is the best in the whole military campgrounds system. Great trails to walk. Ponds to catch and release fishing. The nicest and most helpful staff we have ever had. We stayed a month and enjoy the beautiful quite grounds. Well maintained laundry just need a change machine. This was the only thing I could find to complain about. Will stay as often as possible. Also close to beach and shops. Great place to sightsee especially Jefferson Davis home and the Confederate cemetery. Best tour in Gulfport. Thank you!

For Shields RV Park: MWR has opened a new section. Sites 69 to 101, FHU, wifi, no cable. You should be able to get satillite at all sites. Concrete pads, asphalt drives. All sites are back-in. Shower house with 4 private bathrooms. Washers $1.00, dryers $2.
The old part is still the same. The new part is a couple miles west on the west edge of the base. The new part is quiter. There's nothing close.
The rule about not drying clothes outside seems extream. There's also a rule of NONE of your property off the pad or over or in the grass.
The commissary is small. Base is close to I 10, beaches, and shopping.

For Shields RV Park: Stayed here for a week & enjoyed our stay. Quiet, clean, nice staff. You do have to pay x deposit for the digital converter Box for the tv. But is refunded when you turn it in. They have a newer section by the lake but we were very comfortable here. Would stay here again.

For Shields RV Park: Campground grass is filled with sand spurs and covered our dogs, no shade at all in campground, showers are old.

CW3 Horn
For Shields RV Park: Very nice RV park with spacious pull thrus and full hook ups. All facilities clean and well maintained. Manager was very friendly and helpful. Park close to security gate. No negative comments and recommend highly.

For Shields RV Park: Sites were big, with good amount of space between sites. Very easy to find. Check in was friendly. Didn't use the facilities but, looked good and clean.
Only drawback was being bumped up to a cemetery (freaked the kids out) and the train noise.

For Shields RV Park: Park is very clean and the location is great.
There is some confusion concerning fees.Refunds are not given, so get your dates straight. Female host doesn't like you to use laundry room. Always concerned about how long you plan to use the machines. In and out, looking over your clothes. We found that rather odd. Male host very nice and helpful.
