For Eagle Creek Campground: We were some of the folks that got stuck in Gardiner when Yellowstone flooded in 2022, so our review is tempered by that. I would highly recommend skipping the area if there's going to be a 100 year flood planned. Road out of town quickly changed to dirt and switch backs. Fine for our little 22' Sprinter. Camp ground was flooded out. Our site was under 6 inches of puddle but the very kind host directed us to a gravel upper area for parking overnight. There were several of us up there. No cell coverage so we didn't know that Yellowstone was closed until we got back into town and cell phone range. (Mint mobile). 5 stars for host, -1 for cell phone coverage and dirt road up. We picked this place as an easy trip back into the park, but didn't make it into the park after camping there, so we can't speak to the actual drive. Town of Gardiner was full of lovely and kind people, not a grouch among them.

For Eagle Creek Campground: Eagle creek has been changed to a reservation only from Memorial to Labor Day. Campground Host was vary helpful at directing us to find camping

Dawn

For Eagle Creek Campground: Campground up a steep road. Doable, we camped here in a 37 foot motorhome. Campground sign said full when we arrived about 1230 in the afternoon. We decided to drive through anyway. There were 2 empty sites and another camper said he arrived 5 minutes prior. Everyday that we drove in & out of the campground the full sign was out despite sites being available. Would definitely recommended driving through to verify if really full. Cost $7/night. A sign at the campground says there is a proposal to raise to $15/night starting 2021. Great location for the North entrance of Yellowstone. 4 bars for Verizon.

Lorenzo

For Eagle Creek Campground: Perfect for when Yellowstone is full. Spots are spaced well apart. The views are stunning. The creek is small and disappointing though.

For Eagle Creek Campground: nice NF CG. Elk everyday. 7/night but with an America the Beautiful Pass it is half off 3.50/night. You pay an "iron ranger" here so you can use a check if you don't have the exact $$$. No hookups but water and bathrooms are available. There are not a lot of spots...you can go up on the hill at the rear of the CG near the corral (yes...if you camp with horses there is a spot for them too.)There are a couple of sites up there too. If there are no available spots here go back to the road and the very next left turn will take you up on NFR 3234 and after 1.5 miles you will bein to see boondocking spots...we stayed up there for a couple of days till a spot opened up. The campsite is 10 minutes from Gardiner MT where the north entrance to Yellowstone is located. We stayed here in a 28' TT and would stay here again. Good cell and 4G with Verizon in both camping spots.

For Eagle Creek Campground: Stayed here around April 18, 2016. Everything was clear of snow. Bison roamed the campground every morning. They would scratch on posts and picnic tables but didn't bother the tents. Some deer. A small stream is by the campground. Nice views. Sites have plenty of space on green grass when we were there. Lots of level sites for tents.
