For Valley Of Fires Recreation Area: Great area and amazing views. Mostly pull through paved sites, but some not very level. Try to get a map from the office before they close (4 PM). Great walking trail through the lava fields. Very quiet. We arrived around 3:30 on a Friday afternoon in October and the park was mostly full. Glad we stopped for an overnight. We are in a 37’ motorhome towing.

For Valley Of Fires Recreation Area: We agree with all the previous posts/reviews. Such a quiet, remote, and unique setting.....not crammed up against others campers. We see nothing but natural scenery, lava fields and mountains from our travel trailer. Each site has a large picnic table with a high quality metal roof canopy over it. You can see on google earth what it is like. Excellent facilities and utilities. We enjoyed site #5. The lava ecosystem is wonderful.

For Valley Of Fires Recreation Area: Great place! $9 a night with power and water. Plenty of room for our 40’ coach and toad. Will definitely stay again when in the area.

For Valley Of Fires Recreation Area: I rarely give a five star rating but this one is worth the stars. Paved sites, covered picnic table, grill and a fire ring, water and electric for $18 or $9 if you have Amaerica the Beautiful pass or similar. A paved walkway over the lava rocks was very unique. Very large shower house and clean. I doubt I'll ever be this way again and I'm happy I stayed here. Verizon LTE 3 bars.

For Valley Of Fires Recreation Area: Stayed January 2018. Nice park overlooking what may be the most recent lava flow in the continental US. Campground less than half full, very nice bathroom and showers. Still only $18 for electric and water, dump station in park.
