For Pine River - Navajo Lake State Park: Scenic views from my spot, Pine 34 right on the lake. Tight spots and not very level but they do provide a picnic table, shade, and grill/pit. Facilities were clean and had hot water!

For Pine River - Navajo Lake State Park: Nice place. One point to add to the other reviews. Take drinking water. Even the locals admit they have horrible tasting water.

Kitty
For Pine River - Navajo Lake State Park: Other reviews very accurate. Only pine and cottonwood are open. Both fairly full.

JohnnyO
For Pine River - Navajo Lake State Park: Tough to rate this campground. The full hookup sites are very tight, not particularly level, and difficult to get into if your backing skills (like mine) aren't the best. The better sites are nearer the lake, much easier to back into, but only offer electric and water...no sewer. If you can live without sewer, do it and enjoy the nicer sites nearer the lake. Even then, we saw trailers on lots of leveling blocks, so beware.

Navajo Dam
For Pine River - Navajo Lake State Park: Pine is the Main campground for Navajo Dam with four loops (Pine, Pinon, Juniper & Cedar).
We stayed in Pine-Main. All other loops were closed and don't open until late May (just before the 1st holiday).
The sites are small and although we have seen a few large rigs in here, some stuck out in the roadway-literally. You will need to bring blocks for leveling.
Very rustic, great view from bluff (and site) of the lake. Shower buildings are cleaned daily(somewhat), but they don't seem to clean the shower area very often. The park does need some updating, but with budget cuts-probably won't ever happen.
Pinon, Junipor & Cedar are all primitive campng. No RV's are allowed in Pinon and truthfully, I wouldn't take a vehicle unless it was high clearance and/or 4X4 in that park!
We found Cedar to be more RV friendly and very beautiful. sites are farther apart and more room to move around.
Going into those three campgrounds be prepare-the road is not black top surface and is a hard/soft type gravel.
Pine and Juniper are the only ones with flush toilets and showers. Pine has the only dump station in that area.
We checked out Cottonwood and sites are more spacious, level and large rig friendly. No showers but flush toilet. More buggy down by the river than by the lake. They do have a dump station.
Sims Mesa Campground was closed and won't open until late May.
