For Agua Piedra Campground: This campground falls in the "just okay" category. The roads are atrocious throughout the campground. The host was almost non-existent...good for those who don't like to be held to any rules or be considerate of others, not so great for those who appreciate a campground where generators and loud music ruin the solace you seek in nature. The camp sites are quite close together, so there is almost no privacy at all (the neighbors'conversations and whiney, screaming, annoying children are right in your space). The lights in the toilets don't work, so be sure to bring a flashlight.
The area is beautiful and has plenty of trails and some fishing. There is a small store and cafe a short drive away. There was a very sweet dog running loose on the grounds that someone had apparently dumped (there is a special place in h3ll for anyone who mistreats an innocent like this poor boy) who protected his campground when something came poking around in the middle of the night.
Ultimately, for us, it was not worth the money and we ended up leaving earlier than we normally would have.
