For Big Tesuque Campground: Really peaceful area further in. With that said, there is alot of car traffic and day hikers coming through and since the tent sites are right on the road, it can be noisy. The weekends are very busy. Tons of hiking trails. You can pitch a tent a miles up if you are that type. All the tent sites are right on a small stream that is beautifully sounding. At close to 9k elevation, it gets cold at night. Area has: Bathrooms, picnic tables, grills, fire pits, trash bins, level clean tent areas.
