Flight Risk

For Rancheros De Santa Fe Campground: Take the high desert foothills, scrape out a few RV spots in the dirt and this is what you get. Friendly staff with good WiFi, but small spaces with rough roads.

JamuJoe

For Rancheros De Santa Fe Campground: Quite pricey for rough conditions. We've boondocked extensively on public lands in the west, and this was much more like BLM boondocking than a 'developed' campground. Very tight sites off of rough, tight, eroded 'roads'. All surfaces are dirt and gravel that haven't seen a grader or tractor blade in far too long. Had we not already done a very long day on the road, I certainly would have demanded (you must pay before seeing the sites) a refund and driven further. I did request and receive a larger site, and was obligingly accommodated. We would not return to this campground.

Plummy

For Rancheros De Santa Fe Campground: Friendly staff. It was impossible for us to use the pull through, we had to unhook and back out of our site. We could not make the turn. We travel in a 34 ft. Motor home with a toad. We even paid extra for the pull through.

D&J

For Rancheros De Santa Fe Campground: Nice park. Terrific ATT cell service, WiFi pretty good too. We were there between Seasons so park was just starting to prep for Summer. Some Winter erosion and a few trees in need of trimming hadn't been addressed yet. We'd come back.

Bicycle mom

For Rancheros De Santa Fe Campground: We camp in tents. The tent sites have access to water - across the road - but no electricity. There was a pit toilet & charging station fairly close but not close enough to feel comfortable leaving electronics. There was a wood bark mulched tent pad. Roads in this campground are dirt, rough and seem to be susceptible to washouts. Staff was friendly enough. Showers were clean but could use a new/clean shower curtain.

RVJAX

For Rancheros De Santa Fe Campground: Nice friendly staff and decent wifi, probably because the park was not very full. Otherwise, all the critiques below apply. For the money, I would expect a little pavement and or gravel, level sites and more space. It's very tight everywhere including the entrance; juniper scrub trees encroaching to scratch your sides and rain gullies across drives. I would find another place in the area if I return.

Muza

For Rancheros De Santa Fe Campground: Staff friendly but the site was over grown, a washout culver ran through the spot. Could not get RV level. You are better to stay at the KOA a little further down the road
