For Rocky Point - Santa Rosa Lake State Park: We camp in tents. We drove out to check it out. There were so many ants everywhere that we didn't stay! Ants on the ground, ants on the pavement, ants on the sidewalks, ants on the picnic tables... Maybe there are fewer ants other times of the year - September now. Also very limited cell phone availability. On the bright side there were some nice trails down to the lake.

For Rocky Point - Santa Rosa Lake State Park: I was not impressed with this campground. The RV sites were far from level, the sites were small, and the electricity was unreliable. Also, FYI, there is no lake access anywhere unless you have a boat. Not helpful in the summer. We were here less than 30 minutes and decided to leave. Do NOT recommend this place.

For Rocky Point - Santa Rosa Lake State Park: There's not much to add to the previous reviews.
Very quiet. Easy access from I-40. The temps in mid October were 50s-80s.
Sites 1-7 had water-electric. The rest were just electric.
There weren't very many walk-ups sites. The sites that are walk-up are short and unlevel.
Wasps were looking for spots for the winter and were abundant in the afternoons.
Not much vegetation.
We were in a fifth wheel.

For Rocky Point - Santa Rosa Lake State Park: Nice for a State Park, covered picnic table and level site w/water, electric and sewer.
When we were there the last week in September there were perhaps a dozen sites in use. Very peaceful and quiet. Amazing stars!!!

For Rocky Point - Santa Rosa Lake State Park: If you are traveling through on I-40 this is a low cost but great place to stop. Sites not to level and pretty windy here in early April. Nice bathrooms and shower (have to push a button on wall every minute or so for water). Great view. Nice to be out of town, the 7 mi trip from town on nice paved road is worth the drive.
