For Whiddens Motel Apts and Campground: Spent the weekend here and was pleasantly surprised at how clean and quiet it is! The site was level although it took some manoeuvring to get our 30’ trailer backed in. The secure campground entrance is located through the entrance to a trailer court which is very dark at night. There are many seasonal campers who were very friendly and welcoming. Staff are friendly and helpful, pools are both very clean, as are public restrooms. Wifi worked fairly well for a campground. Although the campground is located next to St. FX University, we were not bothered by student or city noise. We heard the train once during the weekend in the afternoon. The campground is divided by a creek into two sides connected by a footbridge. The roadway through the campground is all paved and winds over several acres of level, partially treed terrain. Fire pits are available but you have to request one be brought to your site. At this time the store is not stocked however all amenities are just a short walk or drive away. We would definitely return!

For Whiddens Motel Apts and Campground: Campground is in town, divided by a stream so you need to go back on downtown streets to get to most sites, entrance is poorly marked. Almost completely filled with seasonal campers, sites very small, difficult to park due to numerous additional vehicles with seasonals, no trees on sites. Facilities were clean, staff pleasant, gates locked, chainlink fence around campground, had to get security to access after 11:00. Campground is within walking distance to restaurants. Would not stay there again.
