For Blomidon Provincial Park: I would recommend the wooded sites as the open sites can be windy at night, which plays havoc with your campfire. There is a section which would give you views of the Minas basin, which is nice. Good hiking trails, close to Canning and Two Planks and a Passion outdoor theatre. 20 minutes away is the Wolfville area which has many wineries, craft breweries and farmer stands. A great area to explore

Rambling Tramp
For Blomidon Provincial Park: Great provincial park located atop a 700 foot cliff, views of 5 counties around the bay. Just over half the sites in the woods, the remainder in a rolling field with a few scattered pines. Water readily available throughout the park, several great hilly wooded hiking trails.
