For Illipah Reservoir Rec Area: Free. If it had running water I’d give it âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸. I agree with everything everyone else said. My only problem was that it was really cold (16 degrees) in the morning. But the reservoir was really nice to walk around. Lot of cow manure, but I grew up around cows so that wasn’t an issue to me. I will definitely stay there again.

For Illipah Reservoir Rec Area: Pretty neat spot. The road in was a bit rough but not overly long. We found a good spot with a view of the mountains etc. . No shade trees but some picnic tables are covered or have screening for wind. Pit toilets were numerous and clean. Very quiet. Great views. It was windy until sunset.
Free. Yes we would stay there again. I will remember this place for the dead quiet and the views.

For Illipah Reservoir Rec Area: We pulled in at 8:00 on a Saturday night, with nothing else in the area, really hoping to find a spot. There were only 6 spots occupied! Other than the 1-mile washboard road in, this is a perfect overnight spot if you’re taking Hwy 50 across Nevada. It’s quiet and free!

For Illipah Reservoir Rec Area: Nice, free campground. Each tent area is covered by a roof and has a picnic table and fire ring. There is a nice lake that had a bunch of fish feeding on insects in the morning. There are also several pit toilet bathrooms. No running water. I would stay here again.
