For KOA Herkimer Diamond: As other reviewers stated, many amenities and activities. I had a basic tent site creek side. Wonderful being right up on the creek. We made a fire right at waterside in a sandy area. Sites are VERY narrow. Policy states basic tent sites are max one tent with addition of screen enclosure permitted. I decreased my rating related to the Boy Scout troop that made camp in two sites next to us. WELL over tent limit, over a dozen people. Instead of creek ambience it was the ADULTS of the troop talking loudly as our noise. Bottom line: this place wants to stuff as many people in as possible without regards to each site limits.

For KOA Herkimer Diamond: Stayed for two nights. No problem checking in. I have a 32ft MH pulling a Jeep Wrangler. Had a pull in site. It was big enough to accommodate the MH and the Jeep, but very narrow, a little up hill. I should have unhooked the Jeep before I pulled in. Sites are very close together. Pull through sites had space in between. Very picturesque park. Lots of amenities and cabins with a river flowing behind it. It was pricey but considering all the amenities and the Herkimer mine across the street it was worth it.

For KOA Herkimer Diamond: This was our first KOA we’ve ever visited. There are quite a lot of amenities to take advantage of, but we only stayed one night as planned. We have two issues with this place. There were the long lines for service at the office as the only lady working there was overwhelmed and overworked. The other issue was price. This place is easily double what others in the area were charging plus they wanted a two night minimum stay. She was able to allow us to break that for one night only which we appreciated.

For KOA Herkimer Diamond: If it’s in your budget this place is an absolute must. Tubing down the river. Disc golf. A million other things. Huge and not busy. We got soooo lucky finding this one. Enjoy!!!!
