For Trailriders - Harrison SF: Trailriders is a free campground.
This is a beautiful campground. It is located in a very isolated area and receives almost no traffic or use. Entry to the campground is paved and has adequate clearance for motorhomes and 5th wheel trailers. The campsites are back in only, but are mostly level and are nicely shaded. There are 2 loops that form the layout and both are able to accommodate big rigs to negotiate the turns, (we are a Class A and trailer at 60').
The facilities are spartan to say the least, vault toilets and a hand pump for water (non potable), so being self contained and or packing in all necessities is a must. Fire rings are placed at the sites and a few picnic tables are scattered throughout the park. Garbage cans are also located every couple of sites so no need to pack out the garbage. Several trails are available for both horses and hikers.
Restaurants, a Dollar General and a gas station are located about 10 minutes away for those who need to pick up any additional supplies.
