For Maple Lakes Campgrounds: For all of you who have dogs, stay away from this place, no dog park, not even allowed to walk your dogs through the place on a leash! Not dog friendly at all, also if you have a larger rig, 30 feet or more, stay away, very narrow, they need to trim their trees, almost ripped an awning off just trying to get out of the sight, a local said they’ve been trying to get them to cut said tree down for years. Roads are narrow, and could possibly get stuck if you go off the road. Wasn’t worth the money to stay there.

For Maple Lakes Campgrounds: This is a nice park but I will never return. Many RVers have dogs, well mannered dogs, but you are not allowed to walk your dog. I hear dogs barking in the full time section, The parks description does not tell you this dog rule. My good dog need exercise…..I will not stay here again

For Maple Lakes Campgrounds: Fine if your a seasonal camper. Overnighters-beware! The park is beautiful and meticulously maintained. Just don’t expect to sleep at night. We were there on a Saturday night and the seasonal campers were partying hardy. The loud music was pounding way past midnight and the drunken yelling was ceaseless. This park has some pretty crazy rules, like no dog walking! But apparently respecting other guests is not one of them. We complained repeatedly but the staff member who responded was totally ineffective.

For Maple Lakes Campgrounds: There is NO DOG WALKING in this park. Your dog must be kept on your lot or “transported” in a vehicle to the dog park area. Shower house restroom had only 4.5 foot walls between stalls - awkward. Women’s side toilets had major flushing issues. Dumpsters are wayyyyy in front of park - so don’t plan on taking a short walk (without your dog) to the dumpster. Majority of sites are seasonal - with more than a few unmowed lawns (think 2+ foot tall grass). Staff were very friendly and efficient. Nice camp store - not a lot of selection, but very clean and cooler stocked with beer.

For Maple Lakes Campgrounds: We were surprised, not in a good way, and we don't like surprises after a long day on the road. 1-If you have a dog, this place is not for you. 2-If you like a campground map to be accurate, this place is not for you. 3-If you like good signage with roads marked with site numbers so you can find your site, this ain't your place. 4-If you like being escorted to your site (especially because many are so hard to find), this place is not for you. Maple Lakes is obviously designed for and caters to its seasonals & full-time residents. They have voted not to allow dog-walking so that their own dogs are not "triggered into outrage" by other dogs being walked nearby. If you don't have a dog and are coming off the interstate for a one-night-stand, get one of the 6 pull-through sites: 150-155. These sites are fine with full-hookups. Unless you are tenting, avoid sites 114-124! The road to this area is not suited for RVs and the map shows the turn into this road incorrectly. Luckily when we saw this road we stoped the RV and walked down to the assigned site. We then drove straight back to the office and got reassigned to a different site. The clerk said, "I understand that you don't want to go down there." The grounds are well kept, but we won't be back, even though it is close to I-71 & I-76.

Brad Sandy

For Maple Lakes Campgrounds: Well manicured and gated campground. Nice sized lots. Activities for campers. Very nice pool. Bathrooms are very clean but the stalls are so tight, there’s not enough room to drop your shorts to sit down with the door closed. Very little water comes out of the sinks and there is no good way to dry your hands. The air dryers are worthless. Strange pet rule where you can’t walk your dog. You have to drive it to a dog area down the hill below the office about 150 yards away from the office near the dumpsters. Perfect location for visiting either the Rock and Roll or Pro Football Hall of Fame. About 45 minutes in either direction. Overall, not the worst, could have improvements in a few areas.

Indy

For Maple Lakes Campgrounds: Strange Dog Rules! You can have a dog, sign in in the dog book at arrival, but can't walk it anywhere. It can be on your site but beyond that must be “transported” (car or baby carriage) to the dog field near the ball park. They do have one post of plastic dog bags there. Other than this oddity it is very nice and gated.
