For Johnson Creek: A typical Army COE camp. Decent level sites, not overly large but just fine. No septic/sewers at site and water supply is in between two sites with a double spigot. If you happen to be on the wrong side of the spigot, you will need an extra long hose.
Camp hosts were less than helpful. Pulled into camp at around 3:30 pm. Nobody in the gatehouse. No signs directing to sites. Sat at front gate for 4-5 minutes, directly opposite camp host site at which the hosts were sitting outside watching us. Had tow vehicle (which was already detached) drive through the park to find our site. At no time did the camp hosts ever cone over and ask if we needed help.
An average camp for a less than average price. US 70 does run closely alongside and produce a bit of road noise.

For Johnson Creek: Another good COE campground. 4 stars only because of road noise. Highway 70 carries a lot of trucks and it's only a few hundred yards from campsites.
Otherwise it's beautiful.

For Johnson Creek: If you are familiar with corps of engineers Parks, this one does not disappoint.
Nice big spaces, super clean restrooms and showers, friendly and helpful volunteers. Easy check-in easy stay. Was here a week. Oh and plenty of shade, but they keep everything trimmed backed really well for big rigs.
Would totally come back

For Johnson Creek: Stayed here on way to Corpus Christi. Called at 7 pm told them it would b 830 pm when we got there they said it would b fine. When we arrived the lady was annoyed we were interrupting her cake eating n then got pissed when we tried to pay with card said " good god I'm trying to make this easy on myself since it's so late". Was told we were getting best tent site...it was not it was right next to boat dock had to listen to loading n unloading all night. They just handed us a map n said go left no one even showed us to sight. I will not stay here ever again. Bathrooms were dirty sink broken.
