For Heyburn Park: Everyone has a different view of what constitutes 5 stars. Many want pools, putt putt and other amenities. We don’t. We consider this private, clean campground to be our five star “roughing it smoothly†location. Our priorities are safety, and cleanliness., and a big bonus view. What more do you need after electric and water? Very very nice.

For Heyburn Park: Beautiful location, lady at gate pleasant, local people camping there extremely nice and pleasant! Quiet and relaxing! Family atmosphere! We are in a big DP, so low hanging limbs a problem, we stayed site 44, pull thru, but because of the branches hanging low, DH had to disconnect tow dolly and back out. Two ways to enter, one is a dirt road, other has pot holes.

For Heyburn Park: Stayed in site 26. Would love to see this COE park get some love and upgrades. Trees need to be trimmed. Shower tile broken and not working, bathrooms just plain wore out. All it needs is some TLC to be a great park! Beautiful views, wildlife and spread out sites.

For Heyburn Park: Lovely park! Easily accessed camping sites, clean, water and electric available. Quiet. Nice walking areas. Redbud trees were in bloom. Lots of birds. We arrived in 80 degree weather, dropped to 27 that night, had 2 earthquakes, plus rain, sleet, and snow! Loved it here ?

For Heyburn Park: This ACE campground is great! During the week you'll have the park almost to yourself and even when full of families on the weekend, everyone is friendly and respectful of quiet hours, etc. Staff is AWESOME, very friendly.
Agree w/ other review that you better have PLENTY of fresh water hose if you intend to hook up to water. We just filled our tank and used our pump. Electricity available in 30 and 50 in many spots, just 30 in a few smaller ones. No sewer hookup but dump station is convenient and accessible.
We will DEFINITELY go to Heyburn Lake next time we're in Oklahoma!
ps
Watch the roads coming in. Hills, curves, and rough roads until you actually get in to the park. Drive safe.
