For Cowlington Point: I've always enjoyed staying here until the camphost tried to start a fight with us because we parked our boat in his spot! He was cussing us and I had to call sherrifs office to have a park ranger and deputy to help us. We was cooking and he was screaming at the dock for us to move out f___ing boat. He told a little girl to find us ant tell us to move that the spot is his. I would have but I was fryin fish and couldn't leave. Not to mention dock spots are first come first serve, there is no reservations. He then untied my boat and got his ropes that was left on that side and moved his boat to the open side. Then he drove his ATV from the dock mind you because he was to lazy to walk up to my campsite and began to tell at me and my wife. We have video and the park ranger has it. He tried to kick us out over it and when I told him I'm on the phone now with Haskell County sheriff department he said fine he got irrational. The dispatch heard it all. The park ranger came but they was nowhere to be found. Park Rangers did however show back up to apologise for his behavior. I told yhem the story and gave them the video and said nobody should ever have to put up with that and I hope corporate can put a stop to him and his wife before it happens again.

For Cowlington Point: We stayed two nights at the lake and it wasn't very enjoyable. The gate attendant was very rude and hateful. We hadn't even backed into a spot and she was demanding money. Two hours later she came back just as rude, I paid her and thanked her to only get a dirty look and she turned and walked away. We were told by others camping that she treated them the same way. Needless to say we will not be visiting cowlington again. People go camping to relax, have a good time and get away from everyday stresses, not to be harassed and treated like they are imposing on someone's personal land. The camp volunteer, not gate attendant, was very kind and helpful to anything we had questions about or needed. There are other camp grounds not far from cowlington that will get my business, I suggest you check those out first.

For Cowlington Point: Hard to find so watch closely for signs which are minimal. Sites are on the lake.
