For Metzler Park: Hidden gem! There are 2 loops to this park/campground. The first you encounter is nearest the family activities (baseball/volleyball/frisbee golf) and good, but deep in the second loop, if you are lucky, you can get secluded, rainforest canopy draped interior campgrounds. There is a stream with a "swimming hole" and trails. The road into the park is paved but very steep and slightly windy. Use low gear even though it is short. We used this park as a base for Portland and Mt. Hood day trips as all the other parks were booked solid 3rd weekend in July.

For Metzler Park: Metzler is a great family campground. The creek & trails are lots of fun.
