For Richardson Park Campground Lane County Park: Large campground, very private sites, concrete slab for parking, w/e for all sites, nice bathrooms with free hot showers - homeless drive in from Eugene to use the showers. Saw drugs, trashed cars, etc., but also families with kids on bikes. Walk to lake/reservoir, summer has boating. Probably won't stay here again.
Stayed 9/9-10/2021 in 18' campervan

For Richardson Park Campground Lane County Park: We booked two nights and extended for 2 nights. This is a beautiful, clean, quiet park with big sites and the staff is terrific. Campground is close enough to cart a kayak to the lake, the beach area is farther, but you can walk or ride a bike or drive to it. Sites #11 and #13 are very popular for their view of the lake. We stayed here in

Laura
For Richardson Park Campground Lane County Park: I would give this three plus stars because the setting is nice, the campsites are big and it is on a big lake. Sunny sites are grassy in the A loop. There are a lot of shady sites in the trees. We did not use the restrooms but they looked clean from a visual inspection. Staff was friendly and helpful. Down side is this is close to Eugene and it appears that there are a fair number of folks who are a bit down on their luck. While this is common and something that doesn’t bother me, the reasons for three stars: loud music was played for two days straight, there is some loud road noise. I would come again if in the area, but given there is so much good county park camping, I would probably try something else first.

For Richardson Park Campground Lane County Park: Great park and lake, but this is about the campground. Helpful on the phone. Big problem is with the bugs - lots of mosquitos in May - and the showers and bathrooms. Not very clean and some were kinda smelly. The water is lukewarm at best. Be prepared to be cold afterwards. At least there was no charge for the showers.
