For Roamers Rest RV Park LLC: My only complaint during check-in was that you have to temporarily park your rig on a severely downward angled hill. Make sure to use your parking brake! We stayed in site 32 and it was rather cramped. They did warn me when I made the reservation though that our 28 foot class A RV would barely fit, as the site is only 29 feet long. Thank goodness it was paved and level. Each RV site includes adjoining space to park your tow car or truck. Very clean private bathrooms. The laundry was quite a deal at only $1.50 to wash (40 minutes) and $1.50 to dry (60 minutes.) We ordered a package during our stay and it arrived with no issues. A beautiful garden is located near the river and guests are welcome to help themselves to complimentary produce and vegetables. We picked a few strawberries and tomatoes and both were excellent! The free campground wifi worked at our site and it was pretty good. My AT&T phone had 3 bars and my wife's Verizon phone had 3 bars. The 17 free cable channels were a bit fuzzy but we still enjoyed them. Campground is located in a busy area of town so groceries and other shopping are only a few miles away. Highway 99 West is insanely busy so be careful when exiting and entering.

Rick from Jamestown

For Roamers Rest RV Park LLC: Many mentioned the rules but didn’t notice anything more than usual at RV parks. Very clean and well organized. I have never had a check in go faster in my life. Nice pull through spot (#93). Cement pads with grass between spots. Bathrooms were outstanding. Clean and roomy. We also used laundry area. Very nice but bring your own quarters. No change. Nice setting by river. Nice gardens, well taken care of. Will definitely stay there again when in area.

For Roamers Rest RV Park LLC: Rules, & more rules, except for rules for the owner. Bad sewer smell, she even told us to make sure we got connected correctly. But it was not us, as we did not connect. The one just outside our trailer door, within 4 feet was capped, but smelled. Spots are small, our truck & 24’ trailer just fit. No room for a table. By the time your neighbors put out a slide you had maybe 6 feet. Restroom was out of TP in the morning. showers were clean enough. Would not stay again. See comments from 2016, has not changed.

Turner

For Roamers Rest RV Park LLC: Great location for us, one of the few in Portland area. Space is tight for a 40’ towing a car. Sites and park are very clean and tidy. Owner and management keep the park in awesome condition. Yes, there are rules and regulations hence, very good RV Park. Difficult to reserve a site due to demand. Stayed 3 nights and definitely stay again without hesitation. Four star rating given is due to tight spaces.

Slip N Slide

For Roamers Rest RV Park LLC: Stayed a week in 38’ MH and it was enjoyable. Staff and maintenance were very professional and the park was very pleasant. Beautiful trees and landscaping, paved / concrete sites with grass between RV’s. Nice walking trail for pets. Easy access to many food outlets and beautiful parks. We especially liked the 9,000 acre Portland city park. Would definitely stay here again.

Donna

For Roamers Rest RV Park LLC: Rules, more rules than any RV park I have ever stayed in. The park is nice enough but the interrogation by the manager/owner was surprising and not welcomed. I watched her interact with other guests (or potential guests) and she asked many questions including what brought us to the area. It was really none if her business and her approach was one that seemed as if we were being 'tested' to see if we were 'worthy' enough to stay in her park. It was not in a conversational nor friendly manner. Same interaction on the phone. I understand the need for knowing what year our RV is (2015) and what breed our dog is (boxer) but again, her manner comes off as a test to see if you meet her standards. Funny observance - unless rules are enforced, they are useless. Despite the all dogs on lease rule, I saw 5 dogs at different times off lease. Despite Denise asking if we would be leaving our dog alone (we never do) a dog in a neighboring RV was left alone and barked while the owners were gone. If you don't mind being interrogated and judged, this is the place for you. If you agree this behavior is uncalled for, make reservations now and come up with some off the wall answers for Denise when she interrogates you i.e. visiting my mom in prison, making a **** video, drinking binge, etc.

Red Shasta

For Roamers Rest RV Park LLC: I stayed at RR for about six months. I enjoyed it very very much. I loved walking by the river where the wild blackberries were plentiful. There was a good mix of shadiness and sunniness. The grounds were immaculately kept by Joel, the great grounds keeper. He is friendly, always had a smile and is a great guy. Denise, the owner, puts a lot of TLC into everything. The flowers are beautiful, the restrooms and laundry are spotless. There is an extensive library of videos you can borrow from for a nominal refundable deposit. It's a nice walk or run under the bridge and down a quiet street to a well kept city park with boat dock on the Tualitin River which is perfect for kayaking. Also a short walk to a pretty good Mexican restaurant to satisfy any problematic taco addictions. But best of all, the people are fantastic! Kudos to Leslie and Luanne! Each one is friendly, helpful and a pleasure to know. I always felt totally safe there. And any problems were promptly taken care of in a proffessional and efficient manner. Just can't say enough good about RR! It will always be my home away from home in Portland, OR.
