Eureka

For Camp Rilea: 30Apr-6May 22. Check-in process is great (Savannah- friendly and professional). Two site available. FHU for $25/night on cement slab. Electric only for $15/night in gravel. Latrine close by- 3 showers, make/female poopers. Gun fire noise can be annoying if there’s range ops. Otherwise, it’s quiet. Easy bike ride to Walmart and Costco on 101. Astoria Column is worth a visit/climb (165 steps). Will return again if I’m in the area.

For Camp Rilea: Camp rilea is amazing! Very quiet, safe and the hookups are perfect. Yep, it’s an oversized parking lot, but it’s clean and cheap. Plus, you’re in the Pacific NW, hundreds of things to do in a very short drive, we barely spent any time at the rig. If you’re from ocean country maybe seeing the mighty Pacific is not your thing but Rilea literally has a walking trail to what is basically your own private, pacific beach... it doesn’t get any better than that! Walmart near by, cell signal is good (except T-Mobile) we have Verizon, att and t-mobile and the first two were lightening fast. Base access is a breeze, and billeting gets you all set up with your power key. Fun to see ROTC training and the guard units drilling. Must stay and we will be back!

For Camp Rilea: March 2019; Great no frills RV park, 10 back in spots with full hookups and 8, 20 amp sites. Plus some tent sites. Due to the off season I was able to due a pull thru on one of the 20 amp sites. Plenty of overflow area on the post as well. Additionally they have huts, cabins, billets, cottages and Chateau that sleeps ten. Stop at billeting office to pay and get a key.

For Camp Rilea: No frills campsites. Perfect for the price. I stayed in the full hookup sites. All staff we encountered were very friendly at the exchange, gate, and on post restaurant. Highly recommend this if you are visiting the area.

For Camp Rilea: We stayed in one of the 10 overflow, dry camping spots since they had an (annual) intercity kids camp going on. Even with the camp, which looked like it was very well organized and controlled, we had a very enjoyable stay. Welcoming staff, clean facilities, etc. small PX on post. Nice showers right next to RV park. RV dump, with water on post as well. Access to public beach from post. $10 per night for our spot 7/15. Friendly Gate guard will direct you to check in/facilities.

For Camp Rilea: The 8 30 Amp elect sites are $5/night. I have no idea why this place only has two stars! I can't give it five stars because it is not a resort, it is a military training base, but it is beautiful and spotless. Everyone we met was friendly. This is a really nice place and very convenient to Astoria and the Oregon coast. Great showers, one is ADA. The young soldier in the billeting office was almost apologetic that we would be on a "dry site." OK, it is grassy/gravel, but it has been mowed and all the grass is dry this time of year on the west coast. The ten advertised sites are on blacktop with full hookups close to the restroom/shower building. Dry site 1 is right next door and we are on #8, only a short walk away.

I would list Camp Rilea as 18 sites, 10 full hookups and 8 electric only.

Since this is a training base, there will be times when soldiers are at the firing range. It's less noisy than fireworks. After the first day, our dogs didn't notice anymore.
