For Clayton Park Recreational Area: Pros: Beautiful campground, nice sites, easy to get into with a 32’ TT, bathrooms were very clean, lots of activities/events—to include live music by the lake at night! Maurice (owner) and his wife were AMAZING!
Cons: no cell coverage, weak WiFi. Friend’s site was pretty unlevel. Not many transient, lots of seasonal campers.
Just to tell you how great Maurice and his wife are—my daughter was knocked down on the playground and got a cut that needed stitches. Maurice insisted that he lead us to the ER so we didn’t get lost.
Would definitely return, but hopefully no ER visits next time!
Management Response: So glad your daughter was alright. Hope she has healed up with no scars. We enjoyed hosting your family and would enjoy sharing our back yard with you again should you pass through here in the future. p.s. Worked with our cable company to increase wifi bandwidth to four times what we had in the beginning of the year. Also coming off three years of construction - since we are a small operation our progress is slow, but steady. So, it is taking some time to get things back to normal with leveling, seeding, etc. Again, thanks for visiting! ;-)

For Clayton Park Recreational Area: Super nice campground. Maurice was extremely accommodating. Other staff was nice and helpful. Very clean. Nice pool. Right on the water. Would highly recommend.

For Clayton Park Recreational Area: My husband and I were on the road from NY and decided to stop at Clayton Park. Tough for a big rig to get to and while the staff was delightful there was no pool, pretty lake but no boat rentals, could not even wash the bugs off your windshield. Lots of rules to just park. Non existent wifi, no cable, no nothing and way overpriced for what you get!
Management Response: We just became aware of this review in 2019. But, so wish we could have spoken with you while you were on site. We cannot make amends if you leave w/out telling us of your experience beforehand. We disclose our distance from I84 in numerous places, and try to make it as convenient as we possibly can for RVers traveling through the area. We're sorry you didn't appreciate the rules, but they do help us in keeping order and are just a small part of what we do to maintain a peaceful and quiet setting. The wifi was an issue we were working on in 2016 while you were here. Since then we have spent over $20,000 in upgrades to wifi and cable. We are also coming off three years of construction to complete RV sites that are all 50 amp and full hookup, a new pool, and cable was just completed to pull thru sites. When you say "no nothing," ... We are sorry that an opportunity was lost on you, and wish you the very best in finding your joy elsewhere.
