For Camping Amerique: We really enjoyed our stay here. This is mostly a seasonal campground, but there are 7 or 8 large, gravel back-in sites at the rear of the campground for transient, nightly visitors with water and 30-amp electrical hookups. Full hookups with 50-amp were not available for our visit. The campground was recently purchased by a very nice and professional young couple who live on-site. They've clearly invested a lot in the property and there's a very clean, nice pool, playground, and new main office. Laundry was free for the washing machines and 25 cents for the dryers. The seasonal sites were mostly well kept and everyone was exceptionally friendly. The transient sites at the back of the campground have their own nice, clean toilet and shower house, along with a dump station. It would have been nice to have a few more kids around for our sons to play with, but as a mostly season campground, the youngsters were few. For lots of people, that's probably a positive thing! The campground is only about 15 minutes from Montreal and, if you have bikes, grabbing a ferry across to the city from Longuile is a great way to see the sights. We'll be back when we come through this area again!
