Doc
For Oak Plantation Campground: A very large and nicely landscaped Park. Friendly, helpful staff. A+ for them. Found us a sat friendly site even though the cable is excellent. Internet is also excellent.
The facilities are squeaky clean and of ample number, although they are not Americans With Disabilities Act compliant. This would be a cheap fix...a high toilet and some bars.
There is a Publix grocery store and some fast food restaurants very close by but the intersection outside the park is not pedestrian safe because it is the turn for Edisto &John’s Island. Very heavy fast traffic with no pedestrian crossings.

For Oak Plantation Campground: Very nice park. Second time we stayed at this park. We were received with a friendly greet and business was accomplished efficiently. We were given a pull through site and it was clean and well groomed. The sites are well spaced and easy to navigate.
Since this park is right off US17 and a busy intersection, it is difficult to navigate the traffic getting into and out of the park. Traffic in this area is terrible. To get in coming from the south on US17 requires you to turn across 3 lanes of heavy traffic that backs up for a mile or so. You are at the mercy of drivers to let you across. To get out of the park and go toward 526, you are best to turn right and go around behind the park. There is no good way to get in and out during traffic times.

Lion’s Head
For Oak Plantation Campground: Clean, well laid out friendly park. On very busy road making left turns into or out of the park impossible most times. New road at rear of park can be noisy with fire hall nearby and motorcycles. We stayed in a trailer.

For Oak Plantation Campground: Four and a quarter stars. Nice big campground off busy street. Practically impossible to turn left (towards the highway) from the park anywhere close to rush hour. Nice wide spots but some are grass, some gravel, and a few concrete. Had a small problem with the electric when we first arrived but maintenance addressed it successfully the same day. Propane fill is awkwardly placed just inside the entrance. Speed bumps are definitely excessive considering only 1 way in and out. Would stay again.

For Oak Plantation Campground: Nice park except too many speed bumps, getting in and out of park off 17 is scary, getting to wafflehouse across street took 40 minutes. Not many sattellite friendly sites, and the ones they consider friendly are iffy. Would stay again.

For Oak Plantation Campground: One of the best RV Parks that we've used! Plenty of space between sites, friendly staff, and just a beautiful place. Lots of grassy expanse and lots of trees! Beautiful!
