For Woodsmoke Campground: Contactless check-in with our site posted on the board was very easy. This place is very close quarters and you must be careful even driving to your site; many of the tow vehicles must park almost in the driving path. Our site was almost level and all of the hookups worked fine. However, the bath facility is pretty bad: dirty, unrepaired, not at all inviting use. The rate seems fair for what you get, but I won't return.

For Woodsmoke Campground: Overall "meh" campground. Mostly permanent residents. Could barely accommodate our 42' motorhome. Tight maneuverability. Good shade. Most spots have pretty significant slope. Spots are *very* close together. To access my water/sewer/electric I pretty much have to squeeze between my rig and the one next to us. And on the other side I could not fully extend my awning due to trees. Manager seemed nice enough but also seemed a bit put-out when I asked about getting a package here. There was a street lamp just outside my bedroom window that was as bright as the sun. I had to put up foil on the window to keep from getting sunburn while I slept. Next time I'm in the area, I'll probably stay at Dreher Island State Park even though they only have 30-amp service and no sewer.

For Woodsmoke Campground: Sorry, we pulled into this campground after reading the reviews on Alstays. NOT a 5. It is a place for a class A motorhome. Tight, un level and about the worst place we have seen in a long time. I walked to our assigned sight and decided we could not stay in this campground. We politely declined the reservations and headed out - with a lot of difficulty. We could not make a couple of the tight turns to get our of the place with our 45’ motorhome.
This might be a good place for those that have small pull behinds and travel trailers. It is not capable handling the larger rv‘ a. Suggest that you reconsider if you read reviews on this place and think it is worth a try.

For Woodsmoke Campground: Owned and operated by the Eldsons, this is a fantastic park. Over half of the park is under a hardwood canopy. We found plenty of room in our pull through for our 40' 5'er. Overflow parking, Bath house, office, etc are literally steps away. Pet friendly and plenty of playground for the kids.
We had arrangements to 'check-in' unattended, after hours on a Sunday evening as the Eldsons were attending a personal function. As it turned out, they came out to greet us later that evening as we were setting up.
Later, we had electrical issues and had trouble diagnosing the issue. Mr. Eldson went way out of his way to assist us, even after we determined it was not the fault of the facilities. True southern hospitality at its finest. These folks make you feel like family. Wood Smoke is now one of our favorite parks.
