For Badlands Interior Campground and Motel: Read the whiney review about sharing power poles and the poorly designed bathrooms, but decided to check it out anyway since options were limited. Glad I did. No, it is not the Marriott, just a reasonably appointed campground, with reasonable showers in a very busy area.

For Badlands Interior Campground and Motel: We were originally assigned site #6. I drove up and it quickly became apparent that there was no electrical post. So I walked back to the office and the woman at the front desk explained that even and odd sites share a post. WHAT? That is extremely poor design folks! I asked for another site and then she couldn't figure out how reassign us in the computer. We ended up with site #11 and it was ok. Worst bathrooms and showers that we have ever seen in an RV park. Bathroom stalls are dark and dingy and the floors were constantly wet. It was a constant challenge to keep ourselves from slipping and breaking our necks! And whoever designed the showers didn't slope the floor to allow water to drain automatically. Nice job team! Wifi was abysmally unreliable. Electrical voltage was unacceptably weak. Turning on 1 air conditioner along with our fan took the RV down to 107 volts. Wow that is bad! On a positive note, this campground is 1 mile from the entrance to Badlands National Park. We will definitely not return.

For Badlands Interior Campground and Motel: We wanted to stay in the National Park but the daytime temperatures were well into the 90’s with nights not cooling down till after our bedtime. So electric service was a must. We booked at Badlands Interior ti assure ourselves we would have 30 amp power and we are glad we did. The only other campground that had power nearby was Cedar Pass and it did not have a site available. We drove through Cedar Pass and frankly we found the layout and crowds not appealing. While Badlands Interior has small sites, the place is clean, decent views, and a better value for us. If we had an inverter, the Wall Dispersal site would have been a better Park experience but without power and thus A/C the bride would have been miserable. I’d return to Badlands Interior again.

Tim

For Badlands Interior Campground and Motel: First of the last Two reviews are not of this campground. The Badlands Interior Campground and Motel is manly pull through sites. Gravel roads some grass at the sites very narrow some with picnic tables they do have fire rings but we did not use it way to close to us and our neighbors. Only a couple of trees too small to speak of not really any shade from them. We stayed for four nights and the temperatures were in the upper 90s. Only 30 amp sites could only run one air-conditioner and about 2 o’clock in the afternoon when everybody was on power we needed our generator to run the air conditioner their power dropped off. Generator use here is 7 AM to 9 PM. They do have an above ground pool small store very few items in it. Their Wi-Fi is wonderful you can actually stream movies with it. They have a laundry room but did notice rust in one of the washers. Never used the restrooms so I can’t comment on them. Over all it is a very run down campground and motel but it’s half the price of a KOA four miles down the road. I would stay again but only for one night if I was passing through. The only reason we stayed here was because of the reviews. I wish all stays would review the reviews before they posted them.

For Badlands Interior Campground and Motel: Location, Location, Location! Beautiful views of Badlands. Sites are parking parallel to road in a loop. Convenient for overnight stay. Each picnic table has a sun shade. Limited electric. New sidewalk and water fountains being installed so somewhat of a construction zone feel. I would stay here again and do more hiking.

For Badlands Interior Campground and Motel: $18 for a site with no hookups. Got to choose site. Some sites have shelters over picnic tables. Shower small but usable. Reasonably priced food at onsite restaurant.

For Badlands Interior Campground and Motel: Cedar pass was full so we drove toward the city of interior. Cg Gravel with very few small trees. $27 water and elec. Glad we stayed here instead of cedar pass, Cedar pass was $22 with no services. This cg served our needs when visiting the Badlands. Rr dated but clean.
Nice folks.
