For Suzies Camp: If you're looking for a great place to stay in the Black Hills/Rapid City area, we highly recommend checking out Suzie's Camp. We stayed there for almost a week when our initial intent was to stay for only 2 nights. Suzie and her husband are wonderful people who go out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Their motto is "Come as strangers..leave as friends," which definitely holds true. While staying there we toured Mount Rushmore and the rest of the Black Hills, and this campground was conveniently located for exploring the whole area. It's easily accessible, which is helpful if you own a large rig, and all sites are pull-thrus. Suzie's Camp is surrounded by beautiful hills/mountains in a very peaceful and quiet setting (no traffic) without any light pollution at night to enjoy the gorgeous sunset. If you're visiting with kids, this place is perfect as there's more than enough space for them to play outside. They offer full-hook up RV sites (and sites for dry camping), tent camping, horse camping, and one-of-a-kind cabins, all at very great rates. They also have an RV that you can rent. Their free Wi-fi is fast and reliable. If you're a biker coming to Sturgis for the rally, you will love this place. We highly recommend calling them before heading that direction as your GPS might not get you there. It seems most GPS devices get you to Pleasant Valley Road, but Suzie's is located on Pleasant Valley Drive. If you're coming from I-90, Suzie's Camp is located in the second row behind another RV park; the signs should guide you there. But again, calling is your best bet. There are many RV parks to choose from in that area, and we are glad we chose Suzie's.
